Isosurfaces reconstructed from KESM sections stained with Golgi and India ink. India ink is used to stain the vascular system to create high-contrast microvascular maps.

The data set is roughly 0.3 cubic millimeters and shows the vascular
structure in the region as well as a random sample of endothelial cells
(blue) and neurons (green).

These images were created for classes. Each link leads to the class web page where individual assignments completed by the entire class are posted. The images I posted here were just ones that I particularly liked and can be enlarged by clicking on the thumbnails.
VIZA 656 - Image Synthesis
These images were created using a ray-tracer I coded for an Image Synthesis class. The software supports all the basic reflection and refraction as well as caustics and photon-mapped radiosity. I'll post the source code and more images as soon as I make them presentable.
VIZA 616 - Rendering and Shading
This particular class was over RenderMan and shading in general. These models were created primarily with Maya and Renderman.
VIZA 657 - Computer Aided Sculpting
These images were created for a 3D sculpting class. Most of the models were created in Maya and aren't shaded.
